Here are some pictures from our hotel! Let me tell you this place was not easy to find but it is so cute. We had to walk through a door from the street, which took us into a courtyard of a building, it was in the second courtyard, up three stories and down the hall to the left. It's a tiny little place with just 5 rooms. It adorable and the two guys that work here are so nice! We get free breakfast and coffee! So I had a croissant and a cappuccino for breakfast this morning. So beautiful without a shower!
This is our little room. A bed and tv downstairs and up the stairs a bathroom and a little day bed. All the tv channels are in Italian except for one Fox... so we have been watching Friends, Sabrina, and Fresh Prince... it's nice to have a little taste of home. I'm very excited to get out there today and explore because I don't feel like I'm gonna throw up every time I move now. lol Ciao!

Day 1
So I have slept now, it is 6 in the morning here and I'm feeling a lot better. I was freaking out yesterday, I really just wanted to come home. This place is so different and beautiful but so overwhelming I just wanted to run in the opposite direction and come home! I was also not reacting well to jet lag, I was really tired and didn't feel good. I throw up a couple of times in the hotel's main bathroom, while we were waiting to check in. I think I was also having a hard time because there was no way to contact you guys back at home. I was having a really hard time with that thought, not being able to talk to Jon and everyone else. However, last night Mom, Dad & Jon called me at the hotel and I was so glad to hear from them! It made me feel a lot better. Then this morning I woke up at 5am and couldn't go back to sleep so I was able to get on Skype with Jon! That made me feel so much better to be able to talk to him and see him, it was awesome! Well I don't know what today holds but I'll keep you posted. Jessica has to use the internet now so ciao for now. I love you guys and miss you like crazy!

The Flights
It's been a crazy last couple of days, the journey getting here was quite the experience. The flight to New York was fine I just slept and read. I was sitting around a bunch of people that didn't speak English, I think that they were Russian or something. On the way into the airport you could see the whole downtown area of New York City and Manhattan it was really cool. However, the descending process was really bumpy, the worst I've experienced. So people were throwing up all around me and we know how much I love that. After that flight I felt sick to my stomach but I was able to feel better before the next flight. On the flight to Rome, the flighting time was only about 7 and 1/2 hours and since I slept on the whole plane ride before I decided to stay up and watch some movies. I wanted Fool's Gold and 27 Dresses. When those were over I was gonna go to sleep but right when I fell asleep there was a big commotion in the back of the cabin. Some guy was going crazy, yelling and screaming. He tried to get to the hatch door of the plane and open it. He was trying to jump out of the plane! The air marshal had to tackle the guy and put his knee on the guys throat to keep him from moving. The flight attendance had to literally tie him down to his chair and tranquilize him. It was really freaky the guy was saying things like, "The world hates me", "I want to kill myself", "I'm gonna jump out of the plane and take all of you with me". So to say the least I couldn't go back to sleep, I was practically hyperventilating. So I watched an other movie and before I knew it we were there. From the plane we could see the coast line and it was beautiful!

Oh one more thing, I'll most likely always be signed into MSN Messenger when I'm at school. Since it's free it would be a good way to stay in contact. My MSN messenger email is kellywyland@hotmail.com so look for me to be online and we can talk!!

T minus 29 and 1/2 hours
So I really thought that I was going to be able to sleep tonight since I'm not leaving tomorrow..... but I was wrong. I'm freaked out at the fact that I leave in 29 and 1/2 hours. Although excitement has started to replace my pure terror of venturing to a different continent! I've started to realize that people travel to different countries all the time and I'm not sure what I'm so afraid of. I think that it has to do with the fact that I think I'm not prepared enough or I'm forgetting something. However, I have to remember, I'm not going to a freakin third world country... this is Italy, it is that fashion icon of the world after all! Also, I think I'm terrified about limited contact with family and JON! Jon and I have never gone more than like 8 hours without talking... pathetic I know but I kinda like the kid. It's going to be hard but absence makes the heart grow fonder right? I'll let you guys know how that works out for me. Well anyways, make sure to check in as you can follow along with me through my journey in Europe. I'm hoping that I'll have more access to the internet than Stacy. I know that I at least have free internet at the school. So wish me good luck and remember when in Rome.... look for me! Ciao bellas!!

So I'm finally done with studio!! I had my review yesterday. Mom and Dad came again this was their third time coming to one of my final reviews. I love it when they come, it makes me feel special! I like that they get to see what I'm up to and what I have been working on so hard the whole term. But thought I'd share my work with all of you! So here are some of my final drawings.
